Today, 20 years after his death, there are many places to feel the immense absence of Ben Wilson. One of them-perhaps the least significant-is the NBA.
He might have been a top draft choice in an era that produced a conspicuous lack of superstars. Wilson could have gone to the Clippers in 1988 instead of #1 pick Danny Manning, or to Sacramento in 1989 instead of Pervis Ellison. There might have been shoe deals, championship banners, 9-figure contracts. Instead, there’s conjecture.
“If Ben was playing now he’d probably go straight to the pros,” said University of Illinois-Chicago head coach Jimmy Collins during a phone interview. “He was a tough kid. He’d rebound, take you inside, shoot outside, great passer. At 6-8, maybe 6-9, he was a Magic Johnson-type.”
In 1984, Collins was an assistant under Lou Henson at the University of Illinois, one of three schools, the others being DePaul and Indiana, that were thought to be finalists in the Ben Wilson recruiting frenzy.

The Chicago Bulls' star point guard, Derrick Rose, graduated from Simeon in 2007. Throughout his high school career he wore number 25 in honor of Wilson.

Question: Have you ever found something that you were looking for in the
wrong in the room place?

The other night I was in my mans Tommy Black's live chat room for his
radio show at 107.5 WGCI and I met a beautiful young lady in there
(Ya'll like "No Dan!") but honestly whats wrong with that? If you know me. You know I'm
a sucker for a good conversation and beautiful women. But this this
woman is not quite a woman she's 17 yrs old (17.5 in her words..lol
cute).

Now for the record. Yes. We did trade contacts (Emails) Now before you
start to judge me. She stay in another state (which I will not reveal)
but know this. Its NOWHERE near Illinois and I am not that thirty to jet
nor drive out there (Broke as shit to be tricking off also) to end up on
some CNN special investigation shit. That ain't my style son. But I do
have to say. I hope this young lady stick around.

P.s. I still stress the fact of being careful on this Internet shit.

THE LUPE EFFECT

So over the weekend on Halloween me and a couple of the fellas went to
the Lupe Fiasco (which is my favorite MC) concert. A lot of people were
in costume to stay in the wicked holiday spirit. But I notice a few
chick was dressed up mimicking some women in my fantasies. Like one was
dressed like the karate lady in the blue from Street Fighter and another
was dressed as the Egyptian queen napa something. I can't recall the
name but she damn she pulled that off. So yeah I'll STAIN!

Now it was me, Mike B., Head (Mike's Little bro and it was his B Day)
Tony, Chris Banks my mans Damo (Welcome home fam) and my mans N.E.P.H.E.W.
(He is a Rap artist/Poet) This was me, Mike and Head second time seeing
Lupe so I already knew what to expect from his. But I couldn't but to
stress the fact to the other fellas that Lu put on a great show. I mean
his Band 1500 or nothing (crazy name right?) are mean and very
entertaining. I recommend everyone that love Lupe's music or Hip Hop period to check out
his show.

Now I really enjoyed this one because N.E.P. Got to see a real MC (not
saying N.E.P. Is not) perform live with a band. We was there when Nas
came to town at H.O.B. But Nas is nothing like Lupe's even though they
both have hits. One more then the other but I'm sure ya'll know what I
mean. But while I was jump around because I was move by the rock-n-Roll
like break down of Day Dreaming (The live band performance of it) I
realized that N.E.P. Was not. But I knew that wasn't because he was not
feeling the song but because he was zoned out (shocked) on how Lu's
music/performance had people on the floor (we was in the balcony) losing
their minds. Jumping up and down creating a wave that is sure to
fascinate or move the most righteous preacher of the Lord's word.

Now to finish this up. One of his biggest songs that we (Lu's Fans) love to see
him perform is "Hip Hop saved my life" and I have to say yes Hip Hop did
the same for me but that's another story. Go see Lupe in concert I'm
sure it will move you along with whoever with you.

OH! I almost forgot. LUP E.N.D. Will be a triple CD album as well as his
last..........

Bands like Fall Out Boy and Smashing Pumkins. John Belushi, Walt Disney. Home of Mcdonalds, The White Sox and the Cubs Chris Farely, Wood Harris "Avon Barksdale" (The Wire) Hugh Hefner (Playboy) Bernie Mac, Michael Mann, Bill Murray, Frank Lloyd Wright.
